Prescriptions
Prescription refills are handled only during office hours. Call your pharmacy
for refills before you have used all of your medication, preferably
at least 48 hours in advance. Call the pharmacy even if there are
no refills remaining. The pharmacy will then electronically contact
the doctor’s office for authorization to refill the prescription.
In certain circumstances a follow-up office visit may be required
before the medication is refilled. Try to anticipate your
medication needs before weekends, holidays or going on vacation.

situation require additional professional information or advice, we

you feel your problem is urgent, please tell the receptionist and your
call will be handled immediately.
-
Emergencies During office hours minor emergencies such as
lacerations, sprains, fractures and acute illnesses which demand
immediate attention will be worked into the schedule as soon as
possible on the day of injury or onset of illness. As a courtesy to
our regularly scheduled patients, we ask that you call before coming
to the office, if at all possible. For major life threatening emergencies
dial 911 or go directly to the
emergency room at the nearest hospital.
-
After Hours Calls Call 911 for life threatening emergencies. For
urgent problems of a less serious nature call (972) 253-4200. Calls concerning less serious emergencies will be forwarded to the
physician on call. The physician will return your call and either
arrange to see you then, or the following day. In some cases the
physician may arrange to see you or have you seen in the Emergency
Room.
-
Appointments Except for emergencies, an appointment should be
made prior to coming into the office.
Our office hours are as follows:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
When you call for an appointment, please
state the reason for your visit. This allows us to set aside an
appropriate amount of time for your particular problem, Your conversations
with our staff, of course, are confidential.
Please call only during office hours to schedule your appointment. If
you cannot make your appointment, please let us know as far in advance
as possible. This permits us to see another patient in your place and
allows us to reschedule your appointment at the earliest possible time.
We appreciate the value of your time and will make every effort to see
you on schedule. However, at times, emergencies or surgeries can cause
delays. We ask your understanding in such situations. Please leave your
phone number at the time you make the appointment, in case we should
need to contact you.
