The Physical Therapy program at the Baylor Scott & White Medical & Surgical Clinic - Irving creates customized treatment plans for patients suffering from a wide variety of non-surgical, musculoskeletal conditions, including but not limited to osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease, rotator cuff tears, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, bursitis, tendonitis, joint pains, sprains, lower back pain, and more.
The product of a multidisciplinary consortium of healthcare experts, our Irving Physical Therapy Department represents the latest evolution in helping patients recover. Under the direction of the medical doctor, patients will work with the program’s physical therapist, exercise physiologist, and supporting staff to create a long-term treatment plan, typically lasting 4-6 weeks.
Maya Joy, PT, DPT, and her team have experience working with patients to recover after injuries, improve overall health, and reduce or eliminate pain. While each treatment plan will vary from patient to patient, our Irving physical therapy specialists typically focus on strengthening deep core musculature, breaking up scar tissue to increase range of motion, and guiding patients through kinetic and weight-based exercises in a friendly and hospitable environment.
The Physical Therapy program operates Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 7am to 4pm and Tuesday, Thursday from 8am to 5pm. To schedule an appointment, call 972-817-1290. Walk-in tours are welcomed.
